Flo from Progressive sings in the company's latest commercial. Surprisingly, it's not as bad as you might expect. In order to promote the company's loyalty program, Progressive dimmed the lights and had Flo sing The Pretenders' "I'll Stand by You" to a customer.
We have no complaints over the song Progressive selected. It's a classic. However, we imagine this ad (like so many others before it) will grate on our nerves if it's played as often as the Let's Get Ready to Bundle atrocity. Progressive's spots wouldn't be so widely criticized if they scaled back how often they run by a significant margin.
We'll ignore the silly notion that you'll have some sort of emotional connection with your insurance company and leave you with video of the original tune from The Pretenders.
