Grey Poupon celebrates gay pride with a twist on a classic ad

Several companies have jumped on the decision made by the Supreme Court to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act. While most companies shouted out their support through Twitter, Grey Poupon took things a step further, creating a new spin on one of their classic ads.

You've probably seen the old "Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?" ads which became a cultural phenomenon beginning in the late 80s and running through the 90s. Unfamiliar? Educate yourself with the original spot which caused many of us to pull up to a car and ask them to lower their window before repeating the line of dialogue above. Oh, the hilarity!

In honor of National Pride month, Grey Poupon revealed a clever spin on their original ad.

Instead of two men passing Grey Poupon, they're holding hands beneath a simple, yet powerful Spread Good Taste slogan. On the brand's Facebook page, they encouraged everyone to celebrate their pride year round because "Pride and good taste never go out of season."

Tremendous work, Grey Poupon.
