Modern milk commercials are kind of strange

Got milk? Milk commercials used to be simple. Remember the days when a milk mustache on a celebrity or an athlete was enough? Now milk commercials have taken on an entirely new shape and form – one which might be terrifying if the photo above is any sort of indication.

Milk is trying to get noticed. Meet the Protein Fight Club. Here the objective is to demonstrate that milk has just as much, if not more, protein than other breakfast options. Milk is also trying to promote the fact it's transportable. Is this an appealing feature? Not really, but there it is.

After seeing this commercial, I wasn't sure what I had just watched. Why is that woman so happy to squeeze ketchup? Is this really the best milk can do to illustrate a feature – more protein – that's actually pretty appealing? Surely we can do better.
