Pizza Hut teams up with OkCupid this Valentine’s Day

In a move we can only classify as genius, Pizza Hut has teamed up with OkCupid to extract the perfect proposal out of you. The Hut wants to remind you that on this Valentine's Day, you're not alone. You can get free pizza for life if you can prove that you're committed.

What's confusing, though, are the rules:

1) First, you’ll send @pizzahut an Instagram video or tweet @pizzahut a Vine tagged #CommitToGreatness by Feb 21st. Tell us your most creative proposal idea. Ninjas? Unicorns? Professional babies? Don’t let reality hold you back. Let your Greatness flag fly. It’ll feel good.

2) We’ll contact the three (3) most creative suitors via Twitter or Instagram, and take you on a trip to get to know you better.

3) If we decide you’re The One, we’ll surprise you with the Greatest Proposal Ever. Obviously, that means free pizza for life.

So wait – we have to propose in order to get proposed to? I'm confused.

It's interesting that Pizza Hut chose OkCupid as its partner because it doesn't matter which online dating site they ultimately partnered with, all we know is that they assumed many single folks would be spending VDay perusing dating sites, looking for that special someone. And probably eating pizza.

This is a genius marketing move for sure – hit the single people right where it hurts on the worst day of the year for them – bring on the pain! We can handle it.
